I just completed the fourth round of edits to my ICL writing contest entry, and sent it off! I’m so excited! This is my first contest entry, but I’m sure it won’t be my last. This challenge was to write a PB under 750 words about a kid inventor. I found the constraints of the contest really helped focus my writing; I’m one of those writers who wants to include EVERYTHING in a story and not leave anything to the readers imagination. 750 words really forced me to make sure every word was necessary to the story– so helpful! Deadline for this contest is Feb 28th, if you want to try it yourself. Here’s the link https://instituteforwriters.lpages.co/icl-kid-inventor-pb-contest/
